The Port Welfare Committee of Andhra Pradesh raises welfare fund to promote seafarers welfare activities in Andhra Pradesh, India. The PWC generally appeal to the shipping companies, seafarers and maritime organizations for the Donations and Seafarers Welfare Fund as recommended by Maritime Labour Convention of International Labour Organization. The Voluntary Contributions are welcome from all the parties and thus will be utilized for the seafarers welfare centers expenses, staff salaries and also special assistance to the crew of abandoned vessels.
